Pricing

Every cleanup tells a different story.
Some businesses need a few reconciliations cleaned up.
Others have years of uncategorized transactions, duplicate accounts, missing reconciliations, payroll issues, loan accounts, inventory problems, or books that haven’t been touched since the last presidential election.
Quoting every cleanup with one flat price wouldn’t be honest to you—or fair to either of us.
That’s why every project begins with a Diagnostic Review.
Diagnostic Review — $299
Before I quote your project, I’ll thoroughly evaluate your QuickBooks file to determine:
- What needs to be corrected
- How far behind the books are
- The complexity of the cleanup
- Potential problem areas
- The estimated timeline
- A fixed project price
You’ll receive clear recommendations and know exactly what comes next.
If you decide to hire Empire Ledgers for your cleanup, your entire $299 Diagnostic Review fee is applied toward your project.
Cleanup Pricing
Cleanup projects are quoted as fixed-fee projects—not hourly.
That means you’ll know the investment before work begins, with no surprise invoices or watching the clock.
Projects are priced based on factors like:
- How many months or years need attention
- Number of bank and credit card accounts
- Transaction volume
- Quality of the existing bookkeeping
- Payroll complexity
- Loan and liability accounts
- Inventory or job costing (when applicable)
Typical Investment
Because every business is different, most cleanup projects fall somewhere between:
$1,500–$8,000+
Smaller projects may be less.
Large multi-year restorations may require a larger investment.
The Diagnostic Review allows us to provide an accurate quote based on the work your books actually need—not a guess.
You’re not paying for someone to “look at your books.”
You’re investing in knowing exactly what’s wrong, what it’ll take to fix it, and what life looks like once it’s done.
